31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 14

I have no idea where my iPod is – I had one of those little clip on things that was perfect for working out and making art.  If memory serves me correctly that thing had Amy Winehouse, Paul Brady, Gov’t Mule and probably that hot n cold song from Katy Perry.  :)

My XM radio is usually set to Jazz or Classic Rock depending on my mood.

But my new obsession is Todd Snider.  My husband shared Todd’s music with me, when we first met, on what I call the Tombstone Tape.  Back when boyfriends still made tapes for their new loves… I think I mentioned one time that my idea of heaven was room service.  Just like Josephine Marcus in the movie Tombstone, a film I’m pretty sure I can recite from beginning to end.

You gonna do somethin’? Or are you just gonna stand there and bleed?

I digress.

A few years back when we were still living in Nashville Jeff took me and a few friends to see Todd play at The Belcourt.  It was a pretty awful experience so I sort of lost interest.

Cut to 2013.  Jeff and I are road tripping over the Christmas / New Year holiday with Todd Snider’s LIVE The Storyteller album (not suitable for young ears) which rekindled my love of his music and most of all his stories.

Here is one of my favorites:

Like a lot of people who find themselves in Nashville my first gig was working in a bar.  I met a few of these fellas.  Good times…

Peace in,

You must have a nano. I can understand losing track of it and not worrying (well, maybe) but my Touch is like a limb and I can’t live without it. I honestly worry sometimes what I would do if something happened to it. Ah! I’m going to give myself a panic attack!

I do. It’s a really bright green color. We’re moving to Atlanta this summer – I have a feeling that I’ve already packed it… it’s probably with my glasses. I lost those too.
