31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 20

A Tin Pail Full of Marbles at The Paris Market in Savannah, GA

I love the spectrum of colors.

I love how cool and delightful it feels to stick my hand into a pail of little marbles.

I love how you can pick up marbles anywhere in the world, from any time on this earth, throw them into a container and they’ll be hard to tell apart.

I love collecting them.  I don’t have that many.  Just enough to help me reclaim a little happiness by sticking my hand in and playing with them every now and then.

Peace in,

When I was a little girl my mom would occasionally buy me a bag of marbles. She may as well have handed me a bag of precious gems, because my delight was always huge! There’s just nothing like them!

  2. April says:

I remember when I was a little girl, my grandma used to have a HUGE assortment of marbles that she’d put inside clear glass vases to hold flower arrangements in place.. and when it was time to pitch the dead foliage, she’d let me catch the marbles as she poured out the water. I’d always be so enamored with them… like I was holding little nuggets of gold!

Beautiful story April! I personally think marbles are magical like that. I hold my in flowerless glass vases so they can catch the sun from the window and so I can stick my hands in and play with them any time I want.
