31 Day Blog Challenge – Day 23

I over thought this question.  I don’t know if I ever thought of my non-work, non-parent, non-wife activities as actual hobbies before.  They always seem to turn into mini businesses.

So I looked up the definition – I always have a dictionary around because I spell so poorly that spell check often can’t help me, but it was much easier to google it.  :)

This is what I discovered.

hob·by

Noun
  1. An activity done regularly in one’s leisure time for pleasure.
  2. A migratory Old World falcon (genus Falco) with long narrow wings, catching dragonflies and birds on the wing.

I would say yes, blogging, film making, and art making are all my hobbies.  Honestly going back to school might also be a hobby.  And I love reading.  Getting lost in a book is like magic to me.

These activities inspire and recharge different parts of my creative soul.

On the other hand I don’t have a falcon, but the description of dragonflies and birds on a falcon’s wing does make me want to pull out some art supplies.

Peace in,

Tami

LOL! In the last few years I’ve learned that if you create something, someone, somewhere will buy it. :)
