The best thing about visiting a place where I used to live is all the hugs!!!
I love spending time with all our friends and catching up on all the news and when I’m asked “when do you plan to move back?” I laugh it off as my husband shares stories about living 10 minutes from the beach.
But I can’t help but think about all the things we love about Nashville.
Nashville is more than a mecca for country music. It’s a place where people from all over the world visit to participate in the dream. You can feel the undercurrent of creative energy here like a true force of nature.
And screw 5 degrees of Kevin Bacon, in Nashville you are never more than 1 degree away from someone “pickin” away at the dream.
Nashville is the place where people come from all over to get in the game. It can be heart warming and gut retching, rhinestones and dirt, and the minute you’re the next big thing you’re already yesterday’s news – but as the cowboy says, “we are in the fun business, if we’re not having fun, we’re not doing our job” and that is why we keep coming back.
Because Nashville is a place where work and play are one in the same.
